Hello all, I been reading around here for what is wrong with the WRT54G and this is what I gathered.
It has a problem with transfering large files, so it slows down or disconnects. (i get super slow transfers).
It also disconnects at various intervals due to poor signal strength? (my problem as well).

Now, there's firmware that will allow one to boost the output power, and there's also new firmware that does something to a clock (dunno which one) which in some cases, solve the large file transfer.
    Is this correct?
    I have the v3 of the WRT54G.
Is there one flash that takes care of both problems? I just want my gf to use the second computer in the living room without her busting me that she can't connect every 5 minutes.
Is there a sticky somehwere that tells you exactly what to do once you buy it so that it will solve most problems (or am I just dreaming) ?
