LinkSys Support is a Joke

    Just spent the last 2 months dealing with LinkSys technical support.

    We had a problem where UPS lost the product so we have a conference call with UPS and when asked for LinkSys RMA department the technical advisor said "I don't know it"

    After two months of speaking to them each day, their technical support departments are in the PAs and India and they then have to contact the America technical support to do anything so a total waste of time talking to them.

    This little issue has cost my company £700 as we have had to install a new router (NOT LINKSYS) for free.

    If you are a business user then I recommend NOT using Linksys routers because if they go wrong it could take you a very long time to get a replacement. If you are a home user then it is up to you but I am advising no one to use there products as when they go wrong you might as well just write the product off.

    When asked about compensation they said they could do nothing about it.

    Anyway thought I would share this with you guys as I don't want anyone to go through what I went through.

    so you never had the router itself so you had to deal with customer support.

    i dont think theres a single company who has india support with happy customers, not that it makes your 2 months meaningful.

    I have had 3 rma's with linksys and indian support. it took 21 days for both my replacements, and they came from another country.

    I take it you wont be back since you dont have a linksys router now so here's a a suggestion. Perhaps next time you might want to rant goto linksys forums and not this site. they may take far more notice of it over there and improve services.
