I needed a wireless router for my new laptop, so I went and purchased this one (39.99) since my old wired linksys router was so reliable for me for the past 5 years.

What a bad decision it was!

I'm not a computer-dummy, but I just spent 5 hours trying to get Port Forwarding right, and it still doesn't work...

I'm now thinking that it's my router that doesn't work.

I looked up my computer name from DHCP table
I went to the Port Forwarding page, put down the ports to be opened, put my IP, enabled it, saved it.

Guess what? It still doesn't work! I was trying to open 4662 and 4672 for EMule.

I changed the ports, and it doesn't work!

I tried all kinds of different security settings, and it doesn't work!

I upgraded the firmware to the latest, and still doesn'tw ork!

It can't be any AV/Firewall (I don't even think I have any) since my old Linksys used to work fine!

Also, this might also be due to my router, but when I play Warcraft 3, I keep getting random disconnects from Battle net server (usually after 20 minutes since I start playing a game), even though i'm still connected to the Internet.

Can someone help me with Port Forwarding??? I mean... I tried everything!
Does port forwarding work for other people with V6?
Also the issue with Warcraft 3, am I the only one?

Please don't tell me to return it, because I just cut the UPC code and sent it for a mail-in rebates...

    any help is appreciated.

You could try a straight exchange at the store, if you tell them it's not working right they'll usually give you a new unit and take yours back without trading the box...

Could you maybe post your DHCP table and your port forwarding screen with the actual setting you put in there? that might help us figure out whats wrong...

try to put the ports on the port triggering page not on the forwarding page.
