Tofu is currently testing his Tofu 13c port to run on the new Linksys WRTSL54GS routers. The firmware is available from his download site, but be sure to read his notes ... I've included them below:

    Notes about the SL version

This is a simple port of tofu 13c for the SL. Most of the new storage-related features in the SL have been left untouched.
The original 2.00.1 code, which is what this is built on top of, look very much like a first release. There are things that look incomplete and may need some work on, there are things that just doesn't look right at all, and there are even vulnerabilities that were long ago fixed in WRT54G that seems to have reappeared in the SL (they've been fixed here). Add the fact that this is also the first version of tofu for the SL and... What I'm saying is, you may encounter a few bugs... :(
The size of the firmware is a huge 7MB because of the extra disk-related utilities and especially Samba. Be aware that this will take an extra long time to flash - don't panic and don't touch that router!
Another free open-source firmware that is know to work with the SL is OpenWRT. I have to admit, although you sacrifice a bit of the gui user-friendliness, if you want more flexibility with the USB attachments, OpenWRT is an excellent firmware. See's forums for details.

OK, Tofu 13c for the WRTSL54GS (what kind of for a router name is that?) is mirrored here.

This looks VERY promising. Now to justify buying another router.....Yeah, what the heck?

    Thanks for doing this Tofu,

I tried to install it, but the flash failed, so my SL is now bricked. :(

Has anybody figured out how to debrick one of those?

does the SL not have the same flashchip(8mb) as the earlier GS's?
try shorting pins 15&16 together, or shorting pin 16 to earth(case of the antenna mounting)
