load blancing and incoming requests RV082

Okay i have the RV082. Two Adsl connections on each WAN port.

With one connection active on WAN 1 the rv082 can allow people to access an exchange server from the internet.

With both connections on load balancing it seems to not allow internet users to access exchange. However mail gets through. Even if they only use WAN1 to access the server.

I have port forwarding setup from the router to the server.

Is there anything i need to setup to make this work ? static routing or protocol binding ?

I assume traffic is coming in on WAN1 and going out on either WAN 1 or 2. not good :(

I suppose ideally i would like incoming traffic to be returned on the same port. Is this not common sense for a router ?

I've got a similar setup - Two DSL connections, load balanced, with a mail server sitting behind.

The mail server sits on a private internal IP, with SMTP, POP3 and IMAP all forwarded via setup->forwarding. The server is not on a DMZ, and doesn't use 1-1 NAT.

Using firmware and it all just works. Didn't need anything else - no other forwarding, no policy routing, no static routes and no holes in the firewall.

Outbound SMTP is bound to a particular interface, but this is because it is routed via the smarthost of one of the ADSL providers.

Sorry I can't be of any more help.
