Low quality of wireless conn

    my laptop is 4m from wrt54gl and rssi is 50db and quality 45... why is that low? i dont have some wireless phone or something similiar. is there some option in tomato for better wireless quality?

    btw in indicator of my wireless card(in windows xp) signal strenght is at maximum and speed also...

    Those are actually pretty good numbers. A less negative RSSI is a strong signal. Here are my readings:

    RSSI Quality
    -68 30

    As long as your signal is stronger than your neighbor's, that's the important part.

    As asterger mentioned, these are actually very good numbers. Your noise floor level is probably around -90dB, so at least 1000x lower.
    If you want to play with the laptop wifi adapter settings, go under Network Connections->Wireless Connection->Properties->Configure Adapter and you will find settings for power management and Transmission power. By default these are set to conservative values to maximize battery life.
    Again, I don't see the need to tweak them in your case.
