I have got WAG54G V2 Firmware 1.01.15, when I enabled MAC address filtering, for wireless card for the laptop,it did not work (I can not access the internet)!!!

    See the attachment

When I disabled MAC filtering I can access the internet.

I am pretty the MAC address for the wireless card has been typed in correctly within the MAC list table.

this work perfectly so you must make a mistake.

try first selecting restrict access then save
then select permit only then save
then select mac you want to enable then save

some times the wag dislike when you modified more than one option and do not save after each mod.

if it still don't work, be sure of the MAC, try with another adapter.

Note that there're newer firmware than your version.

I will try this and I will see.

The version that I have got is WAG54G V2.0 when I tried to update firmware to the version in the link below :

    There are two versions :

    A- 1.01.17 (Annex B) and 1.01.15 (Annex A).

2- When I tried to use 1.01.17 (Annex B), it faild to upgrade!!!!

Annex A or B depends where you are living, you must use the correct firmware or it will not work. Check here to grap latest firmware

On the POP UP window 'MAC Address Filter List' there is a scroll bar.
Did you scroll down and click on the 'Save Settings' button?.

I went through the settings process a few times before I spotted the scroll bar and found the save cancel buttons all worked OK after I found them.

OK - not the easy one then!

If you cannot see the internet have you more computers? can you see the local network.
If not can you manage the router with MAC restriction enabled.

As already said above if you have another connection e.g. LAN and you set MAC restriction for this how does it perform?

When i enabled the permit MAC address for my laptop, I could not access my router by typing within address bar for IE, and I could not access the PCs within my LAN.

I have got 2 wired PCs within the LAN (i can not use MAC filtering for them), only laptop is wireless.

Yeah - the LAN bit was a dumb thing to write

After you set up a MAC address (use the xx:xx format) save the setting.

Go back in and click the 'Wireless Client MAC List' button

    is your MAC code listed?
There shoiuld only be one row and there is a tick box Enable MAC filter which should be ticked.

I borrowed another Laptop from my friend (same as mine Latitude D600) , Please look at this :
I clicked twice (not only one) on "Save Settings" button

Looks OK except is that 'configuration enabled - NO' mine doesn't show that?
You didn't say, so I assume it still doesn't work

You could try setting your laptop a static IP address - all my PC's have static IP's out of choice.

From your FW version you should be able to upgrade to 1.01.22 this is the version I'm on and MAC restriction works fine for me
    you can get it here

at this point you should make a "factory default" into the admin panel (this will reset all the settings of your wag so please wrote down every settings).

optionally (but it's the proper time to do it as the wag is clean after loading the default settings) upgrade the firmware to the latest version

    then reconfig, and test it.

I had already done that before I have posted here.
