I have bought a WRT54GL and was looking at the config at the MAC address and saw something strange (to me..) The address shown in the gui is not the same as the address on the sticker of the device. It's one higher (gui ends with BD and sticker ends with BC). An ARP -a command also shows the BC address for the router.
    Is this normal ?
Any info would be welcome, thanks.

You have multiple MAC addresses for the router.

There is one for LAN interface, a second for the WAN and a third for the WIRELESS.

The one listed on the bottom of the router is the LAN interface's MAC.

The WAN interface is LANMAC+1 and the Wireless LANMAC+2
