    Migration of NAS200 - move to Jac4
    Hello all,

I wanted to see if anyone might know or have tried...
I have two disks in RAID1 on a NAS200 with stock firmware V3.4R79

I am considering to upgrade to Jac4, but I am curious if I might loose access to my data. I realize a backup is the cautious thing to do... but I really don't have the space to back it up elsewhere.

If I pull one drive and try the Jac4 firmware and something goes awry, can I flash back to the original firmware and use my other drive to "return to normal"?

    Thanks all!
    -Cheers, Peter.

jac4 firmware edits the flash firmware only. it starts up the same way as the stock firmware + adding dropbear SSH keys to the HDD config partitions. That's it. It adds about 6 files to the conf partition is all it does w/ the hard disks.

I made the move a while ago, I used it more for being able to alternately boot other root filesystems.
