Forgive me guys, but I’m a bit new to networking in general and I’m hoping some of you would help me with some advice:
I had a Draytek Vigor 2600We which was giving some wireless problems from choking the connection to dropping and loosing it. In my search for a solution, I came across the fact that open-source firmware actually exists for quite a few models (that’s when I realized that ignorance is not always a bliss!). So, I went out and found myself a used WRT54G v1.1, planning to beef it up with the latest release of DD-WRT. The only hitch being that, I don’t have a modem for it. I have already connected the two routers together somehow, but the Vigor still seems to choke the connection at times, till I restart it.

    Hence comes the question:

What is the best setup scheme to connect the two routers together so as to only make use of the Vigor’s inbuilt modem without having it interfere with the routing job, but rather to only “hand over” the ADSL connection?

    Any comments are appreciated.
