    Hello everybody,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I wanted to update the firmware of my netgear R7000 to Asuswrt-Merlin. That actually went quite smooth, as I am not typing from a computer that is assigned to that router.

However, I think something is going wrong, perhaps in IP assignment. The thing is that my provider's modem is rather strict, so what i did previously is put my router in DMZ on the modem. That way my playstation would be on NAT2 and I can just enjoy gaming.

Now since i switched to Asuswrt, my R7000 is still showing up as a device in my modem, but it's not showing me the IP assigned to it. Strange because it clearly has an IP assigned, as it's working. Either way it is now prohibiting me from assigning it to the DMZ. Resulting in a not working netflix and PS4 :(.

Below an image of the devices that are visible for my modem:

Just to be clear on things. My connection runs as follows. Wall->modem(Wlan turned off here)->Router->devices

Did you remove/re-add the router from/to the DMZ on the modem after you changed router firmware? If not, I'd suggest doing so.

Is there an ip address in the dmz still? If so is the same as the ip on the netgear? If not adjust it by removing the ip from the dmz and add the current ip of the netgear ip to it, or if the dmz ip is the same as the ip on the netgear try rebooting but make sure the gateway ip on the netgear, is not the same as the TG789bvn and lan subnet should be different example: 192.168.2.x 192.168.3.x here is a link that may help
