    Here is the Dillma,

I have a standard router setup, networked to 4 computers and an xbox, all my roommates and I are gamers and we have the best internetz package avaliable that my isp offers. The problem is that if we all try to play the same game the router gets bogged down by all those packets on the same port, to alliveate this I obtained 5 dynamic IP's from them and purchased a switch and took the router out of the mix, this fixed the problem instantly, everyone could play lag free. but then came the problem with file sharing, and playing anything locally. we couldnt see eachother, I tried a suggestion of using VPN but all this did was send everything out to the cloud and then back, a simple mp3 copy would take 5 minutes.

Now that you have a sort of idea of whats going on here is what im trying to do, is there a way I can have a router or switch ask my isp for the 5 dynamic IP's and the assign them it self so it knowS we are all on the same network so that we get the lan functionallity but at the same time not get blown away by the port congestion??

    I thank you in advance!
sorry for my english is no so good.

If you are on a switch why cant you game locally or share files? All of your ips are in the same subnet right?

yes they are, But anytime we try to file transfer or play it acts like the information is going from Computer A -- to the switch -- to the cloud -- back to the switch -- back to Computer B.

    Any Ideas??
