    This was in my modem log after the internet cut out for about a minute or 2.

    Mar 19 2010 15:30:27 3-Critical R02.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx;CMTS-MAC=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;

    In Tomato. That CMTS-MAC. I found the same mac under the gateway ip address. But while the mac is practically the same. The last 2 digits are in fact different that is in my modem log I pointed out in bold. Any idea what this mac does or where its at?!? I was thinking that might be why I had that slight connection problem.

    What was the difference in the last MAC sequence? If it was "off" by one or two, it's still your router - the router uses three different MACs depending on which VLAN you're talking about.
