I'm trying to setup a wireless network behind a Satori v4 linksys. I have Linksys WGS54GS with Satori v4 firmware. I've set it up as a client for a friend's wireless network and everything works ok. I'm now trying to setup another wireless network behind it and use the Satori client as the "WAN" link. WDS isn't an option, because my friend uses Dell Router with no WDS options. After setting up the new router (BEFW11S4), I connected the Satori client's LAN port to new router's Internet Port. Then I connected my computer to the new router's LAN port. I can see new router, Satori client, and my friends Dell router, but I cannot ping the internet. Do I have to use a "null" cable when connecting between the Satori client and the new router?

Make sure you can resolve names to IPs when you are pinging. If your ping doesn't try to hit an IP address, you need to set up your DNS. To make sure you have a DNS setup on your computer, go to the command line (start>>run>>"cmd") and type "ipconfig /all". This will give you the details of your DNS servers. If you have none, then you have a config problem somewhere. If you only have internal DNS (192.168.x.x or whatever your internet network numbering scheme is) then maybe one of those isn't doing the job.
