Hey guys! I really really need the Setup CD that comes with the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router (WRT54G v 4.0). You can post an image of the CD (.iso or something else) or you can contact me via MSN Messenger at

I just have to ask... why?

Because I have a problem with my router that I can't fix, maybe by reinstalling it will help.

Here's the problem: I installed my Linksys Wireless Router on my new computer connected to internet. On my old computer, internet was always connected, so even if my computer was off, I could use internet with my laptop. But on my new computer, I have to use a dial-up to connect to the internet. Each time I open my computer I have to manually connect to the internet, and when my computer is off, I can't go on the net with my laptop.

The problem is not the router, since I can share files between my computer and my laptop via the wireless network.

If you can help me to fix that, it'd be great.

Do you have dial-up Internet access now or DSL?

Your DSL modem needs to be hooked up to the WAN port of your router using an ethernet cable and your DSL modem will need to be in bridge mode for the following to work.

Then open and enter your router's password (default is username: <blank> password: admin). This loads the router configuration interface.

Set your Internet Connection Type to PPoE. Enter your ISP username and password. Select "Keep Alive" and 30 seconds is fine.

Click "Save Settings" at the bottom. In a few seconds it should get an IP address from your ISP and allow you to use your PC or laptop. If not then power cycle your DSL modem and the router and see if it works after that.

These settings were okay, but it still doesn't work. Now I can't even connect with my laptop even if I manually connect with my other computer ... I touched something but I don't remember what ...

If you think you still can help me, it'd be nice, otherwise I'll try to do it by myself. Thanks man!

Sorry I'm more of a hands on type than one who can give instructions. The CD won't do anything that you can't do using the configuration webpage.
