Networkin problem since changing to WRV54G

Recently my WRT54G crapped out and I decided to change to the WRV54G, as i wanted to VPN into my home network for travelling.

I completed the setup and am able to get all PC's on my network to access the internet, but I can no longer access the other PC's and shared drives.

I had originally set up all PC's with their own IP addresses, but changed to a pure DHCP for this router. I want to get local networking to work before I decided to try the VPN.

I have two desktops (one working on XP professional and one on Vista RC1) that are wired and a laptop working on XP professional that is wireless.

Should I just go back to assigning IP addresses to each PC, or could there have been a change to some configuration when I swapped routers?

    Any help would be appreciated.
