I've just switched to Qwest ADSL from comcast cable, and now I'm having a hard time forwarding my ports. I don't know what is going on; all I know is I'm doing the exact same thing as before. One weird thing is - I seem to be able to log onto both the router( and the dsl modem( The modem model is Qwest m1000, and I'm using the latest version of Tomato, I think. Also, for the linksys router, under the WAN IP Address, DHCP is used, and in the Actiontec M1000, under the WAN IP Address, PPPoE is checked. I don't know if that means anything, but just thought I tell you guys.

If somebody has any idea, please share.

I bet your modem is doing NAT'ing; you're probably double-NAT'ing right now. You should try to figure out how to put your modem in bridge mode instead of gateway mode.

Can you be a little more specific? I'm pretty slow when it comes to these sort of things. Is it a setting that I need to change? And are you talking about changing the modem to bridge mode or the router?

should I change the LAN IP Address of the modem( to match the router(

edit: I've found a NAT setting. It is now in the "ON" setting - do I turn it off? I also found some options under the WAN IP Address setting:

    RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging
    RFC 1483 via DHCP
    RFC 1483 via Static IP

    It is currently at PPPoE.

Got it! set it to transparent bridge and use PPPoE login info in router.
