some statement about the long delay between the release. currently i'm heavy working
various issues like l7 filter problems etc. which eating up my time. the l7 filter problem
for example (access restriction services, qos etc.) is caused by simply bad l7 protocol
definitions. i tested various protocols today and some are not working from scratch.
this release includes a debug enabled version of l7proto, so you can check if something works
or not, or is caused by dd-wrt itself.

DD-WRT v23 is definately coming into maturity. Way to go BrainSlayer! I've taken Alchemy off the last remaining routers of mine and have everything switched over now without any problems. Aside from the L7 filtering and some issues with the uptime displaying correct/incorrect data everything seems good. I have the 06/12/05 build currently on my Linksys WRT54GSv1.0 router showing an uptime of 5 days and a system load of 0.00 0.00 0.02 VERY SWEET!

Talisman v1.1 is nowhere near as mature as DD-WRT v23 has become. It is nice to see the DD-WRT project finally totally surpass Sveasoft not just in features, but in stability in a high-traffic production enviornment.

I've been using the release before this latest one for about a week on my two WRT54G/GSs v4. It's been rock-solid, and I've been BT'ing/Limewire'ing/FTP'ing for the entire week straight.

I'm curious what i'm doing wrong than..

When flashing/upgrading i do these things:
    1. Settings to factory defaults by web
    2. flash router
    3. wait 2-3 minutes before pressing 'continue' when 'flash successfull' appears
    4. settings to factory defaults by web
    5. restore settings from backup

HARD reset - hold the button for 30-60 seconds after the flash is complete.

If you are having problems it is always best to reconfigure manually.

I always did it, configure the router manually, tried once with the backup.. But i'll configure it manually this time, and use the other given tips.. Let's hope for a stable connection/router :thumb:
