    V2315-11-05 Std&Mini both hang after erase nvram;reboot

    V23b2 15-11-05 STD and Mini both hang after erase nvram;reboot

    Bugtracker # 170

    two WRT54GS v2.1, one WRT54GS v1.0 , two WRT54G v4.0 (all hang)

    upgraded all routers from 14-11-05 --> 15-11-05

    This started with 14-11-05, 11-11-05 did not lock up,
    a short or long hardware reset will not force a reboot of the routers.
    Remove power is only way to recover router. Scanned all 65k ports when router locks up, no ports open.

    1. mtd erase nvram;reboot (no ports open 23 or 80 etc....) locks up
    2. erase nvram;reboot (no ports open 23 or 80 etc....) locks up

    I can't get an WAN IP with 11/14/2005 build, has it been fixed in 11/15? Thanks.

    Related to k3nv's comment, has the 4th port been fixed? When I upgraded to the 11/14/05 build it essentially killed the 4th port (maybe made it a WAN port?) but that meant the computer I was using on that port could not get an IP from the dhcp server.

    The 11/15 GS std build still has the same behavior as 11/14 build.
    - Can't get WAN IP (with default setting);
    - Hang router with reboot;
    - have to hard reset to get it back;
    - flashback to 11/11, everything is ok (except known issues)

    BTW, I have GS v3. :sad:

    can't get wan ip? looks like the comcast issue. turn off STP on the setup page as noted.

    I have no major issues after the 11/11/05 build.

    I tried that too.

    Well, I was connecting the route to my another LAN network (with different sibnet). It works fine to get the IP with 11/11 build. but not since 11/14. Maybe there's something to do with the new kernel and GS?

    It works with default setting with 11/11 build. But it does not work with the builds (I only flashed gs std version) since 11/14connecting to the same LAN network.
