I've had Earthlink Dsl for 4 monthsnow and I need help. I Had to move my home office - no phone plugs available for the DSL.
I decided to Wireless the Internet connection.

    Heres what I have :

    Earthlink DSL (at&t california)
    ZyXel P-600 DSL modem
    Linksys WRT54GS router
    Linksys WMP54G - PCI adapter

I tried configering as per the Linksys standard set up - ok the computer see's router but no internet access
I tried PPPoe setup as per the linksys Help - no good
Called Earthlink to help me set up, but they are not interested due to 3rd party router - they offered their own router and USB pc adapter @ $7.95/month - no thanks

There must be some way for this to work ...

ps. Earthlink setup my LAN TCP/IP:
with a specific IP address, gateway and DNS server

    can someone help me

If Earthlink is a standard DSL implementation once you set the router to PPPoE and input your username and password it should be ok. You are having the router act as your PPPoE endpoint and not your computer, right?

yes, the router is the end point :

phone line --- dsl --- wrt router

    then in my computer :

wireless linksys pci card adapter --- computer

Have you configured your router using the same IP and DNS servers addresses as instructed by Earthlink?
