I have a WRT54G Router and a WPC54C wireless notebook card. For the last few months I have been having a serious connection problem. Use to get 48Mbps and a Very Good Signal strength lately have been getting 11 Hbps and Very Low Signal and tons of drop outs. Updated the firmware on the router and now can't connect to the notebook card. I'm not that proficient with the router stuff. Any help getting connected again and after connecting boosting the signal would be appreciated.

OK now the router won't work. lost all my Intent connections even if I bypass the Wireless G Router. The firmware update was WRT54G_4.30.5_US_code%2C5.exe. My route version is 1.XX

Have you tried rerunning the original setup utility? A few times I've had to use it to relocate a device after a firmware update because it did a factory reset in the process. Alternatively, you may be able to locate the original documentation of what the default IP is, set your pc into the same subnet and connect to it via the web page to reconfigure.
