This has me completely stumped, so I am hoping you all can help me out.

I recently got an Asus WL520-GU and immediately loaded Tomato. Everything works great for my wireless PC's. Though today I tried using my WRT54G that is set up as an access point running dd-wrt. Thing is, Tomato isn't giving the AP internet access. I know it is Tomato since the dd-wrt router is allowing my PC to connect to the Tomato router and is receiving an IP address from it, and I am able to access the config of the Tomato router.

I am totally lost here, and am hoping it is something dumb I am overlooking. Please help.

On the... dd-wrt AP did you set the 'DNS' of the AP to the router's 'DNS' address?

I believe it does not know how to get website request from...

CHEERS and have a GOOD DAY too!!!

Yes, DD-wrt has the routers IP set as the DNS and gateway.

Do you have a connection to your ISP ? If not, please provide details of your connection and what is required so that someone can help.

If that all works OK, and you DO have web access, but it is just the wireless that is the problem - you should know that often this is a problem with a particular client wireless adapter card. Try reading through this thread to see if any of it helps you.

I would look closely at the subnets being used. If there is a conflict it will cause routing issues.

What happens if you try to perform a traceroute from your PC to an internet IP (not DNS name)? Can you ping the IP address that is configured in the Tomato router as its gateway? If that doesn't work, do these actions work from the DD-WRT router itself? If all that works fine, what if you perform an nslookup of an internet DNS name (eg, from your PC? From the DD-WRT router?

I tried the tracert from my pc and it only had one hop, which was the pc's IP own address. Yet my xbox, which is using the same WRT54g for wireless access is able to get on xbox live through it. So it looks like the problem is with the PC, rather than DDWRT.

Any ideas for what might be causing this problem?

Still probably a problem with the DD-WRT router. Have you tried the things I suggested?

Also, how do you have the two routers connected to each other?
