Hi, can wrt54g in client mode (third party firmware) connect (initiate connection) to ap dwl2000ap+ that has internet and share it to wired computers? even tho they are different brands ?

Does the wireless router in client mode acts like the wifi card in my laptop and connects to any ap in its range regardless of its type and model?

    Answer any :p

I see no reason why not as long as they are 802.11b (11b) or 802.11g (54g) compatible, this is what 3rd party wireless mode is meant to do.

tnx toxic, its just that in repeater mode the product must be the same (i guess), so i was making sure that in other modes i can connect different products. (Im new to wifi ) :)
