Not so good with networks, and I have a problem.

A few weeks ago, our router stopped working the way we like. We are very much a plug-and-play family and so when crap like this happens, we tend to just try to live around it. No longer. Anyway, we have a Linksys BEFSR41 router. When I plug an ethernet cord from our cable modem into WAN, the Link and Act lights light up, but not the "Diag." If I plug a cord from the modem into Uplink, we can get the internet to work, but only on one machine. The other odd thing it did is that now it will often flash "Link/Act" on any ethernet cord plugged into a computer. I don't recall it doing that before, but perhaps I am mistaken.

I've already tried every possible combination of unplugging the router and/or modem, and I did a long reset, but it's still doing the same thing.

Something just hit me. Perhaps someone accidentally did a long reset when it stopped working, and now some setting isn't set back to the way it should be? That would explain its identical activity before and after a reset.

Anyway. I have no idea what's wrong, and if any of you could give me some help, I'd like it. I can attempt to give more specifics if necessary, just ask and I'll try to get you the info.
