I have a setup in which I connect to a WRT54GS via Cat 5 cable directly. This router is then plugged into via the internet port using Cat 5 to a D-Link ADSL modem. The problem I have is I cannot access the admin ip for the modem from the pc without unplugging it and connecting directly to it! How do I get round this problem? I have no idea what the solution maybe so other posts may describe the solution perfectly but unfortunately I dont know what I am looking for:S

    Thanks for your time!

why do u need to get into the dsl modem? unless it was serving in a router capacity, which there should be some way for you to disable that function, since it isn't needed with the WRT. Figure out how to bridge the DSL modem and leave it be. that's my opinion, however, you did not give enough info as to y u needed to get into it. To answer your question, you may be able to get it to work if u use advanced routing to create a specail routing path for the dsl modem's ip. I've never done it before, so exact procedure I can't provide :| Good luck tho
