Before I upgrade from v1.06.0981 to 1.13 I'd like to know if anything has changed in the Wireless Client Filter. My list has over 30 items and it has become a mess since there is no way to take notes on what MAC address that belongs to what person/computer.

I guess I could have kept a .txt document on my computer, but I didn't think much of it when I started adding people/computers to the list. My old D-Link DI-624+ had this "feature" and it was golden. Consider adding if it's still not there.

    Thanks for a great firmware!

Well, the change you will probably like is the fact that now you can take notes on which MAC belongs to which computer :)

My personal opinion is, why bother implementating Wireless Client Filter? It's not a substitute for wireless security as the permitted MAC addresses are easily derived from the traffic between the router and the permitted wireless clients. Why not use WPA if your clients can support it?

you are isn't a substitute for WPA or any kind of authentication/encryption scheme. It is just another step (albeit an easily circumvented one) that a hacker would have to make to get into your network. Certainly if someone is determined enough to access your network by cracking WEP (insanely easy now) or WPA/WPA2, they would also be armed with the tools necessary to spoof a MAC address. I think some folks just use it as a 'warm fuzzy' additional step in their network security....
