NSLU2 - Strange Speed Problem

The speed of the NSLU2 when being used on my main computer is just terrible.....only 1 - 2 MB/sec (at the very most) . For example, an e-mail backup that usually takes 20 - 30 seconds, now takes around 10 minutes! A little while ago, I decide to see how it acted on another one of my computers on the network.....it was FAST!! However, after about 10 seconds of files transfer, I get the message, " ***** cannot be copied: the specified network name is no longer available " .

So, it comes down to this:

    1) Why is the NSLU2 slow on one computer but fast on another (both computers are plugged into the same router)

    2) Why, when running fast on the other computer, does that message come up?

And now.......after trying to upgrade to v76 (just to see what would happen), I get the following message: "Upgrade: No enough free space." ( I assume they misspelled NOT )........anyway, why would that come up?

There used to be a program at Linksys that would erase the excess memory usage so you could flash upgrade. I can't find it any longer. Looks like Linkstys simply removed it from their knowledgebase answers.

    Helpful fellows, eh?

Found the " Erase All " program.........and was able to upgrade to v76......but it didn't help my problem.

Do both computers use the same OS? Any chance the slow computer might have its NIC set to half duplex?
