Been running HyperWRT 2.1b1 +tofu11x since a while, runs really great but when playing Battlefield 2, I occasionaly seem to lose connection for just a second. Ping is generally very good, but every 2 minutes or so it goes up to 600+ for a moment.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Did you have lag B4 you switched to Tofu? I use Thibor and even b4 I upgraded I never had lag (well occasionally) . I really think its the ISP who can have peak traffic and alter your ping momentarily. Do you have "Optimized Gaming" set up for BF2 in your router? That may help. I also have the latest drivers for my vid card as well as my Mobo....
    rockin' here

thanks for the replies so far.

Previously, before using this firmware, I did not have any troubles, but I used the Sveasoft firmware. I do not share my connection. Am using WPA2 now, where previously I used WPA encryption.

dareino, what exactely do you mean with optimized for gaming? Are there specific settings for that?

Log into your router. Under Applications & Gaming, choose QOS. There you can add the port numbers that BF2 uses.
    Good luck!

Hi, sorry haven't been able to try this yet, but will do so tonight.

    Thanks! I'll post the results.
