Hello Guys, I just bought RV082 and im new with this router.

I have set the router's address to
I have also enabled the dhcp ~ 200
I have also configured its internet PPoE and its working good.

I wanted to have a client to gateway configuration, where my travelling users can access our office network through a Client VPN software.

Now I have done configuring my internet, what should I do next to configure the VPN? Can anyone help me with Step-by-step configuration with my VPN router as well as the client vpn software.

Thanks in advance for the help!

If you want to try Linksys QuickVPN Client, you could download the latest client v1.2.6, which is available in the Download page of this forum. You could read the release note that comes with the install package and the Help info after the client installation is complete. The user guide of newer routers such as WRV200 has an appendix showing step-by-step instructions for using QuickVPN. There are many discussion on QuickVPN in this forum as well. Just do a keyword search. Also the Tutorial page has several good ones on the use of different VPN Clients.

I found that using the Windows XP "My Network Place" to setup the VPN client, and then setup the PPTP server of my RV042, to provide much more reliable connection than using the Linksys QuickVPN. About two out of ten times using QuickVPN, it got connected but I cannot ping the local addresses. Unfortunately, both the Windows VPN client and the QuickVPN cannot use certain networks, where the internet ISP must have blocked certain ports or so.

Well, Im tired of QuickVPN it has a lot of issues..

With regards to PPTP connection which you can't see the network it's NAT issue..

Hopefully there will be another alternative VPN Client software than this QUickVPN..
