PoE and WRT54GS v1.0

    The PSU that came with the unit gives 16.2 Volts and wrt needs 12V (acording to the autopsy page). This means that building my own PoE on 20 m (65 ft) should be prety easy.

    Or am I missing something here? :wink:

    16.2 Volts? Sounds a bit too much to me.

    I have measured it again and it is still the same.

    I'm not that good with electronics but there is sometnig that looks like a switcher, on the left side, near the coil. It's role would be to give a 12 V needed for wrt to work, and transfer the rest to heat.
