could somebody please help me to setup port forwarding in Tomato 1.06?

I want to access the router from an external pc via telnet.

I did the following config in port forwarding section:

    Protocol: TCP
    External Ports: 23
    Int Port: (blank)
Internal Address: (my routers internal ip)

When I try to connect with putty to my external ip on port 23 I get a timeout.

It is working for my NAS-server which is attached to the router with these port forwarding settings:

    Protocol: TCP
    External Ports: 22
    Int Port: (blank)
Internal Address: (my NAS-servers internal ip)

    thx for any help

You can't forward ports to your router's local IP address using the GUI (you could probably do it manually by entering an iptables rule, but I don't know exactly how).

You can setup remote SSH access in Administration -> Admin Access.

Setting up remote telnet access is a bad idea anyway, so the GUI won't let you do it - telnet sessions over the Internet are highly insecure.
