Hmm. Here is my situation. I've got a ADSL modem within my network. I can also access it over web browser over port 80. But since I already have the port 80 redirected to one of my servers I can't redirect this port directly to it. So I came with a nice trick wich in theory it should be working. For example, port 1234 wich would then redirect to port 80 of the modem. So my port forward table looks like this:

And it's not working. It gives me timeout on entering http://mywanip:1234. What is interesting is that if I type http://mywanip:1234 within my network the modem page opens.

Can anyone please explain is is so and how to make it work as it should.

Do you really want it to be possible for potentially anyone anywhere in the world to access the configuration for your modem? I think that the modem may be blocking this for security reasons.

Yeah. I need this. And I can disable it if I want to.

that should be working, don't know why its not. try a different external port, something might be conflicting with it.
