    Hey all,

I must be missing some crucial step here. I've done this a million times, and for some reason, this time, it ain't working the way I think it should be.

So, I have uTorrent 3.1.3 running. I have static IP from my router (modem is using whatever IP Comcast assigned), I am using the port I chose a long long time ago, and it doesn't seem to like that (uTorrent, that is); it's giving my the little red circle with exclamation.

Even though it's giving me the red error, if I click it, it brings up the 'uTorrent Setup Guide', and running the 'Network' test, and unchecking the 'Bandwidth' test, it even says the port is forwarded correctly, and the (BT) network is running fine. What gives?

Should I be using the same port for both external and internal ports for this to work correctly? Or should I be using a list of BT ports?

Why not just enable UPnP or NAT-PMP in the router and not statically forward any ports at all? uTorrent will dynamically allocate a forwarded port that way (and close it down when the application exits). It "just works".
