Has anyone had experience with setting up a PPTP and/or L2TP VPN on a server 2003 running a domain behind the WRT54GL router? I know the router running Tomato can't currently terminate a VPN connection, but I would like to terminate the VPN at the server 2003 and then gain access to the rest of the home network. Will the router support letting through the various ports/protocols and forwarding them to the server PC? If anyone has any specific information on what I would need to forward, and if this would work, I would appreciate it.

I should have mentioned I'm aware of the ports needed to forward through the router (TCP 1723 & IP type 47 GRE), but there is no selection for anything to forward other than TCP or UDP?

You need to forward TCP 1723 and UDP 500, then it works. And don't forget to open the same ports on the Server 2003 firewall.
