i'm a french student in Networks and Telecommunications engineering and i'm currently in Croatia to validate my Bachelor degree.

After two days of working with QuickVPN and RV042, I've still some problem to connect to the VPN server...

Let's me explain the problem, my RV042 is connected behind a modem in bridge mode (Thomson SpeedTouch 780WL). I've opened the TCP port 443 on it... HTTPS was already turned on... I've disabled my windows firewall on the client (my client is connected on the neighboors internet connection).

And when i'm trying to connect with QuickVPN Client, i've just "Connecting ..." and that's it.

So I've made some test, i've connected a laptop to the Speedtouch, forwarded the 443 ports to the laptop and launched Ethereal on the both computer. i can see that QVPN is trying to connect to the the server using the 443TCP ports ... and on the laptop connected to the Speedtouch, i receive nothing with the 443 Source ports number

If you have some idea ...

    Thank you

My first guess: your neighbor's internet connection what yet another firewall and it is not handling the NAT for IPSec correctly. This mean that the equipment used to connect to the Internet is not capable of handling IPSec VPN traffic (or is not properly configured).
