Problem with static DHCP

I'm running two DD-WRT routers (WRT54GL) - one acting as a client bridge, the other as an access point.

I believe I'm running an updated version of v24 (pre sp2) on both. And after following the DD-WRT tutorial on setting up the bridge, it worked as advertised. However when I attempted adding a static DHCP for a computer hardwired to the bridge, I lose connection to access point.

On another computer (with dynamic DHCP) hardwired on the same bridge, I have no problems. Looking over the access point settings, the MAC and IP address of the troubled PC shows up fine.

Any ideas on what's going on?
