Hi all, especially those of you who are hacking the NSL-U2!

A good project idea would be to build a UPnP AV MediaServer program to run within the NSL-U2 Network Storage Link. This would then expose a nominated directory of media files to any UPnP AV MediaRenderer clients like the Linksys WMLS-11B Network Music System, the Netgear MP101 network audio tuner, the D-Link MediaLounge DSM-320 network media adaptor or some Philips Streamium network media adaptors.

It would avoid the need to run a PC with media-server software all the time to provide network media access at these devices; especially that a lot of software, most of which is at 1.0 stage, that comes with most of the devices is rickety at best and some of it has been known to take over the CPU or crash the host computer.

    With regards,

    Simon Mackay

    Twonkyvision and the wmls11b

Just wanted to post that there's a new yahoo group for wmls11b users. Feel free to join in.
There are a couple recent posts there that deal with Twonkyvison, both version 2.4 and 2.5.

Go to and put in the search term: wmls11b

    Hope to see you there!
