    Hi Tomatoes!

In the QoS settings there is a field "KB transferred".
I can not find what this parameter means and what are proper values to use for the different protocols.

    Any hints? Thanks in advance!!!

That setting is to allow different behavior based on the amount of data transferred.

The sample rules show 0-512k WWW traffic (enough for most web pages) at medium priority, 512k+ (likely a download) at a lower priority.
Likewise the sample rules show 0-2k DNS (enough for most requests) at highest priority, 2k+ (unusual) at lowest priority.

The values used for other protocols are pretty subjective. Most of the time you won't need this feature; eg. you will always want skype at a high priority, you will always want torrents at a low priority, regardless of the amount of data transferred.

OK, clear. Thanks for the explanation.

Just some info that may be useful. I find that 256k is a better figure, or large downloads via HTTP keep ending up in the wrong class. I haven't seen any bad effects on normal HTTP traffic.
