Is there a way to limit speed on other/all application when one application is running?

For instance, say I am maxing out my line downloading something, someone wants to play xbox, turns on xbox, and the download limit goes to 50%, so 50% is reserved for the xbox? Any ideas? :)

    Thanks in advance!

In tomato, easily achieved by giving that application or maybe that whole machine (by MAC address or IP) priority - place it in the HIGH class, move everything underneath down one. This will allow other users to use the bandwidth when xbox isn't, if you set it to so. If you are using tomato default QOS rules, you may find it advantageous to change to something more suitable for your setup. If you need more help on QOS matters, read through the thread below and it will give you a good idea of what is possible.

It is actually set at highest already toast, while traffic is set to lowest which is limited to 90% of download... But it still lags BAD... Should I try messing with the ip/mac bandwidth limiter and set the mac ids that are downloading to 50% but give them a ceiling of 100%? Would that give me what I want?
