Hi I'm a newbie! Called Linksys with my question only to have them tell me 20 minutes into it that I'm "no longer under warranty, but for $$$$ one time fee, you can get premium service." thanks, but no. I had it up and running briefly until I rebooted then it quit working:confused:

I had to run a recovery disc on my compaq computer. I then reinstalled the driver for my Linksys wireless router. My computer now indicates excellent signal strength and signal quality, yet I am unable to connect to the internet. I am using Windows XP and Linksys Wireless-B broadband router BEFWS4 ver.4 and a Linksys wireless card.

Why isn't it working?? Thanks for your help!!

Most likely you had at some point entered a security key that is now not present. Plug in the computer wired to the router then log into the main router page. Once there verify your wireless key and reset if need, then do the same on your wireless adapter. If you need help accessing your router post and let us know and we can go from there.
