I'm using Tomato 1.27 on My Asus N16 router. I'm considering using a VPN service like HideMyAss to anonymize my online presence (all my home devices that accesses the internet) by using the VPN service on the router via the VPN Client page.

I have VoIP phone service that I would like up 100% of the time for emergency, so I don't want my VoIP device to go through the service. Is it possible to tell which devices can be exempted from channeling all their internet connections to the VPN service? Even though the VPN server's uptime may be high, the servers do come down (I think). Let me know your thoughts, thanks!
