Remaining Lease Time isn't resetting when WAN DHCP release renwed

I'm still running 1.19 and it's been up for 80 days, but I noticed when I went into the overview page, that it said it had recently renewed my ISP's DHCP lease, but there was only 48 minutes left on the lease.

I thought this was weird so I renewed the lease, which reset the "Connection Uptime" back to 0:00, but the "Remaining Lease Time" still kept counting down from where it was last.

Finally I did a release which cleared out the "Remaining Lease Time", but when I did a renew it started counting back from where it left off. Currently it says I have less then 30 minutes lease remaining.

Update, after I typed all the above I did a renew when it was at 28 minutes remaining and the Remaining Lease Time jumped to 1 hour. My ISP might be giving out 1 hour leases temporarily, but shouldn't renewing it (and especially release and renw) always renew the "Remaining Lease Time"?

As a standard rule of thumb no, your lease is based on your routers wan port mac, if you change the mac reboot you ip will change and your lease will reset. However the dhcp server knows what time is left on the lease and will not reset it until it reaches a threshold as set by the administrator.
