I have an RV042 that has a configured VPN tunnel to a web based software program for retail.

After configuring the tunnel, the computers in the retail store have been installed with the retail software local interface and everything works very well.

Now, my question is: Can I install the retail software on a laptop and connect remotely to the RV042 and piggyback onto the VPN tunnel to the web based program? I thought that this was to purpose of the QuickVPN software, to allow you to connect to the router and essentially become part of the remote network, which would then pick up the VPN tunnel.

In theory, you should be able to because you'll be on the same local subnet once the connection is made. Bare in mind that when you connect with quickvpn, you don't get a local address assigned to your machine. If you were connecting to a microsoft vpn server via pptp, you'd have an address assigned to your computer which makes the difference with some applications.

    Try it and see :)
