    Hi there,

I have a WRT54G, with my own PC using a wired connection to the router. I have 2 meg broadband (UK ntl)

My step-son uses a wireless connection from his laptop.

Is there anyway I can restrict his bandwidth use (or percentage) from the router?

You can not restrict his usage as a percentage but you can set his usage to "low priority" and yours to "high priority" then he can use 100% when you are not using any and he get the table scraps when you are it.

Just go to applications and gaming, then QoS. Enter his MAC ID and set it to low priority. Enter the MAC ID of your PC and set it to high priority.

    aha! Thankyou!

I am using HyperWRT, is there any way I can monitor, from my PC, the current upstream/downstream rates?
