Another case of curiosity killed the cat.

I have a few weeks old linksys WRT54G version 2.
It was running the original firmware from linksys 3.03.6_us_code.
I flashed it with numerous firmwares and did not have any problem.
Now I wanted to try EWRT 0.3 beta 1 (latest from Portland) and is flashed it to the linksys.
Firmware reported successful upgrade, but the system ended up death. No wlan, no lan, only a flashing power light.
No http(s), no tftp, no ping ( windows xp and linux FC3). Nothing. I used nmap, no response. Ethereal shows the linksys is death too ( tftp not being answered).

Ok I should have brought it back to the shop and made up some fuzzy story. But no, after reading void reviving page, I opened it up and used the pin 15-16 and 16-17 trick. No result. Is there any way to revive this thing. Sticker on the intel fash chip states VER:2.04.4 CS::D856

    Any help is appreciated

I have been having similar problems with EWRT......

Simply revival (there are more complete guides)

    1) download from the Linksys site - current firmware install tool and firmware for your PC
    2) physically connect your PC to the LAN port on the WRT54%. Set the PC NIC to 10Meg half duplex. Set the IP to
    3) do a long (30 second) reset switch hold on the WRT
    4) start the linksys firmware upgrade/install tool

If this does not work - there are other revieval methods. Just search this formum and others
