    19dbi flat panel "rootenna"

i'm thinking of using a pair of these for 1mi LOS ptp link, putting the APs inside and running POE to them.

    anyone used these "rootenna"s?

I haven't used them but I've seen them on a UK website too and recently spec'd them in a university project along with a couple of WRT-54G's for a wireless bridge

Make sure you get the RPTNC connector option and you should be set. I wish I had an application for them, I'd love to get my hands on a couple!

Yep, work great. I usually mount them with H-POL to reduce interference problems with consumer AP's which are generally set for V-POL. I also stick ramsinks on the hotter chips on the WRT mainboard to help a tiny bit with heat dissipation. The RooTenna units work great.

I used one for 6 months... works great... better than a 18dbi panel I already had.
