If I ssh to my router, how do I get:
    CPU Freq
    Flash RAM Size

    dmesg | more
and page through it. I know the Chipset is in there (under CPU).

dmesg is not going to show any of this information in a sane/accurate manner. Compare, for example, the information in dmesg to that in the TomatoUSB GUI (Status -> Overview page).

The answer to this question is: take a look at the TomatoUSB source code for the GUI bits that show Chipset, CPU Frequency, and Flash Size. You may be surprised what rigmarole has to be done to get this information accurately. :)

    You can start with
If you are interested in how sysinfo gets its information, you can run
    less $(which sysinfo)
