Well i dident get anyware with this in "WRTXXX Routers" So i figure ill post here and hopes of getting some kinda reply/help..

Bacicly ever so offen, about every 20-30 min my WRT54GS v2.1 with DD-WRT just "locks up" i cant ping it or anything, If i un-plug it and plug it back in its fine... For another 30 minuts or so..

DSL modem PPPoE lan DHCP lease 1day > WRT54GS DD-WRT DHCP.

I realy dont get why it just locks up like it dose.. It also seams like the more traffic/computers connected the more offen it "locks up"...

Keep this garbage out of here. Use these forums for tech support...not for this crap.

Good luck getting help - with a post like that, you'll probably piss people off or more likely get ignored.

Are you running BitTorrent clients on your network?

Not latly, Non when useing DD-WRT.

Right now im trying PPPoE on the router insted of the modem, Dont know if it could help any but worth a try.

Right now im haveing another problem. Cence useing DD-WRT port/firewall scans and tests find open ports closed ports, Before any/all scans would come up all blocked/filterd. Any idea what could cause this?

in the ddwrt v23 from 12.25.05, the firewall is disabled by default for some reason. So in your web interface ( by default), go to the security tab and click enable firewall.

btw, i'm glad you understood what i was saying earlier. remember, people here offer support for free so we don't have to reply at all. also know that not every question has an answer or often we may not be able to understand the problem. so keep it clean/nice and we'll do our best ;)

Hey thanks! dident eavn notice that.. Allthow some ports still show up as blocked or closed, Just not as many. Maybe im missing something? I see theres some more options under the security tab, under "Additional Filters" and "Block WAN Requests" Any of those i should mark also? or is the firewall just not as good? no offence.

Oh yeah forgot to menchon, Cence useing PPPoE on the router insted of the modem the problem seams to be no more :D

So now the only real issue is the firewall thing.

Checked everything possoble and still got a fue "closed" and "open" ports come up, not really to consernd about it thow as i have a good software firewall at all times and what did come up as blocked or open dident seam to high risk.
