We upgraded to a T1 and would like to use our old RV016 as a plain switch. What settings should I use to bypass the router completely?

Make sure its LAN IP address ( by default) doesn't conflict with anything else on your network. Disable DHCP on the router.

Uplink to your main switch or other router using a LAN port on the RV0..you will not use its WAN ports.
