What I want to do is use our RV016 as the main gateway & DHCP server and attach the WRV54g as an access point. Therefore, wireless users would be issued an IP address from the RV016 and not the WRV. On my other wireless routers I have the option to use the router as an Access Point, but on the RV016 I don't have this option -- Gateway & Router only. Is this possible to do what I want and if so can you give me a hint on what I should be configuring to make this work.

Yes its possible and quite easy, poke around the boards a little bit making a real effort at finding the data. If you cannot find it, post again and you'll get a quick and dirty explanation. A hint is to use the search function of the forum but choose linksysinfo and not google.
